The students of Desert Hot Springs High School have always found the Arts to be an important part of their high school education. The Fine Arts department provides students with a well rounded foundation within the arts. Each class allows students to foster their own creativity along with an interdisciplinary connection between the various fine arts classes Desert Hot Springs High School provides. All fine arts classes here at DHSHS strive to apply vocabulary that connects every fine arts class offered as well the creation of an interactive student notebook or portfolio in which students apply these inter-connective efforts.

Desert Hot Springs High School offers an array of fine arts classes: Art 1 - 4, AP Studio Art, Ceramics 1 - 4, 3d 1 and 2, B&W Darkroom Photography 1 and 2, Contemporary Media 1 and 2, ROP Digital Imaging, and ROP Fashion.
